No Kids, Just Plants

For this 87-year-old couple, plants are their children, and nurturing the little corridor garden together is their secret to love and longevity.

Both Mr & Mrs Ng work well as a team to keep their plants, herbs and vegetables lush and thriving.

"Plants make me feel relaxed and happy," Mrs Ng explained to her neighbour and CAL staff Annie Quek, whom she calls on to look after her "green babies" whenever the couple goes overseas.

"Purple Velvet was donated by Mrs Ng to CAL for fundraising. An avid gardener, she influenced me to appreciate the refreshing and therapeutic effects of plants," says the CAL Volunteer Manager.
